Migrating from Loox to Eevy AI

In your Loox dashboard, navigate to Reviews → Export (the location may vary by Loox plan — check under Settings if it is not in the Reviews section). Select "Export all reviews" and choose CSV format. The export includes review text, rating, customer name, email, product, date, and importantly, photo URLs. Loox may also export video URLs if you have video reviews. Download the CSV when ready. The export typically processes within a few minutes. One thing to note: Loox's photo URLs point to Loox's CDN. These URLs will remain accessible for the duration of your Loox subscription, so complete the Eevy AI import before canceling Loox to ensure all photos are transferred.

Upload your Loox CSV in Settings → Import Reviews. Eevy AI detects Loox's export format and maps columns automatically. The import preview shows how many reviews will be imported, product matches, and the count of photos and videos found. Click "Import" to start. For photo-heavy Loox imports, the media download phase may take longer than the text import — Eevy AI downloads each photo and video from Loox's CDN and re-hosts them on our CDN at cdn.eevy.ai. A store with 5,000 reviews and 3,000 photos might take 30-60 minutes to complete the media transfer. You will see progress in the dashboard. Do not cancel your Loox subscription until this is fully complete.

With your photo-rich review library imported, you are ready to set up sections that showcase visual content. Start with a UGC Gallery section on product pages — this directly replaces Loox's photo grid with a genetically optimized version. Add story bubbles to your homepage for an Instagram-style visual showcase. Create a review carousel configured to prioritize photo reviews (set photo priority to high in section settings). If you had Loox's discount-for-photos feature, note that Eevy AI does not offer review incentives — but our experience shows that well-timed review request emails with a photo prompt generate comparable photo submission rates without the policy concerns of incentivized reviews.

After confirming your import is complete (all reviews, photos, and videos), disable Loox. In your Shopify theme editor, disable the Loox app embed. Search your theme code for "loox" to find and remove any custom liquid code. Common Loox injection points include the product template (for the main review widget), collection templates (for star ratings on product cards), and the cart page (for review-based cross-sells). Remove all Loox code references. Enable the Eevy AI theme extension if it is not already active, and verify that your new sections are displaying correctly on all relevant pages.

With your Loox photo library now in Eevy AI, take advantage of features Loox did not offer. Set up shoppable reviews so visitors can add products directly from photo reviews. Create collection page UGC galleries that pull photos from all products in a collection. Use AI review summaries that reference the visual content themes. Configure the genetic algorithm to test photo-dominant versus text-dominant layouts — you may be surprised which converts better for your audience. The algorithm can also test different photo sizes, grid layouts, and lightbox behaviors. With Loox, you had one fixed layout. With Eevy AI, the algorithm continuously tests to find the optimal visual presentation.
