Page Speed Revenue Impact Calculator

Quantify the revenue cost of every extra second your pages take to load — and the payoff of making them faster.

Page speed has a direct, measurable impact on revenue. Research consistently shows that each additional second of load time reduces conversion rates by 4-7%. For a store doing $50,000/month, a 2-second improvement could add $4,000-7,000 in monthly revenue. Yet most merchants treat page speed as a technical concern rather than a revenue concern.

Review widgets and UGC sections are often the biggest contributors to page bloat on Shopify product pages. Heavy JavaScript bundles, unoptimized images, and synchronous loading patterns can add 2-4 seconds to product page load times. This calculator helps you quantify the revenue impact of your current page speed and model the improvement potential. Eevy AI is built for performance — lightweight rendering, edge caching, and asynchronous loading ensure your review sections load in under 200ms.

How to Use

1

Enter your current page load time

Use Google PageSpeed Insights or Lighthouse to measure your product page load time. Enter the Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) value in seconds.

2

Enter your monthly revenue and traffic

Input your total monthly revenue and sessions so the calculator can estimate the per-second revenue impact.

3

Set your target page speed

Enter your goal load time. Google recommends LCP under 2.5 seconds. The calculator models the revenue impact of reaching this target.

4

Review the revenue projection

See the estimated monthly and annual revenue gain from reaching your target speed, based on published speed-to-conversion research.

Formula

Revenue Impact = Monthly Revenue × (Current Conversion Loss % - Target Conversion Loss %). Conversion Loss Per Second is estimated at 4.42% per second beyond 2 seconds, based on Portent/Google research.

Interpreting Your Results

If your LCP is above 4 seconds, you are likely losing 10-15% of potential revenue to speed alone. The highest-impact fix is usually reducing third-party script bloat — and review/UGC widgets are often the biggest offenders.

Eevy AI is designed to be performance-neutral. Review sections render server-side with edge caching, so they add virtually zero load time to your product pages. Switching from a heavy review widget to Eevy AI can improve page speed while simultaneously improving review layout optimization.
